Wikileaks have WMDs say US

@henrywarren over on Twitter saw this on a fairly standard British phone box around the Barbican in last night. I'm not anti American, but this picture is something to do with current affairs and features a phone box. Maybe on the next one we can get the payphone's telephone number too.

Our New URL

Congratulations to ourselves. We have a new URL http://www.payphonebox.com/ ! The old URL will still work, it is forwarding traffic to the new one. The old one (.org.uk) restrained us somewhat to the UK browsing community. Whereas this new .com address will allow us to be presented on equal footing in searches around the world. The site after all is a global topic and is itself designed to be as widely seen as possible.

Please change your bookmarks, and please do share this link with as many people as you can. There are twitter and facebook buttons below this post as well as an email function. Many thanks.

+4732147601, Rural Norwegian Red Phone Box, Krødern, Krødsherad, 3535, Norway

First of all, I would like to say a big thanks to our fellow phone box enthusiast John Arnsten, who runs his own website (site translated to English)dedicated to the humble Norwegian Payphone. He has kindly allowed this phone booth to be featured on our site here. He has even made a video of the actual payphone, giving us all a real good feel for it and it's surroundings. On his website he logs the statues a repair of the phoneboxes he visits. For this one he states (rough translation to English): "Pretty and good kiosk, but painting and site preparation is svæt bad. Neighbor that has a kiosk on their property seems maintenance is bad! Dørpumpe destroyed! Not Light" Thanks again John. And for those that liked this addition please stay tuned for more in the near future from Norway.

Google Maps Listings of London Payphones

Just found out by entering London Payphones into google maps that it gave me these listings. It might have been carried out by BT themselves at the boxes seem to be the WiFi enabled ones only. Particularly good thing here is that them have the exact address and the payphones callable telephone numbers. You can even click to select to see them in Google Streetview! Nice one google.

Nativity Scene Within A Phone Box

A great picture sent to me by Mark Johnson from BT Payphones. It's a picture he got from one of the payphone engineers in 2007. It depicts a sweet scene of the nativity perched just below the payphone with a Christmas Card up on the shelf with tinsel all around. And not forgetting the essential Christmas tree down below. Great contribution in the festive period. Thanks.

Giant's Payphone

Either this lady is really very small or the person who installed it was having a joke on us all.
