+498924210134, Community Public Phone Reichenbach Straße, München (Munich), Germany

Beautiful public payphone here. It stands opposite this Vinzenzmurr Butchers. Vinzenzmurr typically sells processed and fresh meat. But they now sell coffee and snacks hence the tables and chairs outside. Over Summer these place will heave with people stopping here for a byte to eat or a quick coffee. This payphone is open so it'll give you a good chance of an answer. Good luck and ask them how their Bratwurst tastes (Typical Sausage here).

+498959998704, Street Payphone, Bayer Straße, München (Munich), Germany

Typical street payphone here in the heart of Munich. Off to the right in the background you can see the central train station and during the evenings this pavement (side-walk) gets really very busy. Give it a call around then as it does ring with a fair volume.

+442077344784, China Town, Gerrad Street, ADJ Telephone Exchange, W1D 6JH

Shot in the heart of London's Chinatown. Was taken in early morning and you can see the restaurants receiving their deliveries, along with the Chinese community members coming by to collect their Chinese language newspapers. This box has stood for time even though the once famous London Chinese phone boxes (with Chinese design) have been removed as they were deemed offensive to Chinese people. I've managed to obtain a picture of the old Chinese phone booth from this exact same location. You can see it below. Also the building this box stands up to, is the local telephone exchange. One last thing, this is not the original china town. The original china town was located in the Limehouse area of East London, where they came as part of a global sailing community (I will try to get a payphone of that area featured here sometime soon).

Sad Sight

This picture by @hotincleveland over at Twitter, shows how much we all value these once essential telecommunication spaces. Is it a sign of the times?

Snow Covered Payphone, Yuzawa, Japan

Thanks to: @SnowJapan on Twitter for this. 'Nighta' at the famous phone box in Yuzawa. I've seen many pictures of payphones involving snow, but none quite like this. Would be even better were we able to call it.
