Typical German Payphones
I took this series of shots from the same payphone bank. These are position in the subway directly in front of Munich's central Station. There do still see a fair amount of use, which is good to know. Unfortunately I didn't get their telephone numbers. But it does give you a chance to see the fairly new interactive payphones that are popping up all over Germany.
Saint Patrick's Day Phone Box
Another great phone box spot by Dean Moloney. Traditional British phone box decked out in green tinsel. Happy St Patrick's day to all our Irish Payphone Folk out there.

The telephone number here is for the payphone to the right. They are positioned directly on platform 26, one of Munich's Central Station#s main platforms. You can get someone's attend almost 24 hrs. and day here.

Used to be a twin payphone set-up here, but the back one was removed leaving the original payphone that I had listed on the old payphone net directory. There's a public automated toilet to the left. This street is amazingly busy on Sundays, as it's the full market day. You should be able to see the white box road markets just behind the rubbish bags. Each one is for a market trader.

This was an old one from the payphone project website (http://www.payphone-project.com/gallery/England/paddington1). If you visit the link, you'll seen on old picture of this spot where there used to be four payphones. Another two used to be situated just about where the left side of that advertising frame is right now. The number featured here is still the same as always and is for the phone on the left.

Beautiful public payphone here. It stands opposite this Vinzenzmurr Butchers. Vinzenzmurr typically sells processed and fresh meat. But they now sell coffee and snacks hence the tables and chairs outside. Over Summer these place will heave with people stopping here for a byte to eat or a quick coffee. This payphone is open so it'll give you a good chance of an answer. Good luck and ask them how their Bratwurst tastes (Typical Sausage here).

Basketball Arena, best time to call is right before or after a game or during half-time.

Typical street payphone here in the heart of Munich. Off to the right in the background you can see the central train station and during the evenings this pavement (side-walk) gets really very busy. Give it a call around then as it does ring with a fair volume.

Shot in the heart of London's Chinatown. Was taken in early morning and you can see the restaurants receiving their deliveries, along with the Chinese community members coming by to collect their Chinese language newspapers. This box has stood for time even though the once famous London Chinese phone boxes (with Chinese design) have been removed as they were deemed offensive to Chinese people. I've managed to obtain a picture of the old Chinese phone booth from this exact same location. You can see it below. Also the building this box stands up to, is the local telephone exchange. One last thing, this is not the original china town. The original china town was located in the Limehouse area of East London, where they came as part of a global sailing community (I will try to get a payphone of that area featured here sometime soon).
